Capstone Copper

Capstone Copper is a Canadian copper mining company focused on the operation and development of copper assets in the Americas. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Capstone operates a portfolio of copper mines primarily in the United States, Mexico and Chile, positioning itself as a mid-tier copper producer with growth potential. Its flagship assets include the Pinto Valley mine in Arizona, the Cozamin mine in Zacatecas, Mexico, and the Mantoverde operations in Chile, which include both an open-pit mine and a concentrator facility. The company also owns the Santo Domingo development project in Chile. Capstone's operations are supported by infrastructure including desalination plants to secure water supply in arid mining regions. The company has strategic partnerships with major industry players, including Mitsubishi Materials, which holds equity stakes in certain Capstone projects. Capstone Copper employs several thousand workers across its operations and is focused on expanding production capacity through brownfield expansions and new project development. The company was formed in 2021 through the merger of Capstone Mining Corporation and Mantos Copper, creating a larger platform for copper production in the Americas.
