Wheaton, Eldorado both named among best Canadian corporate citizens
Canadian multinational streaming company Wheaton Precious Metals Corporation has once again been named to Corporate Knights' Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada, ranking thirteenth overall in 2026.
"We are proud to once again be recognised by Corporate Knights as one of Canada's best corporate citizens," says Wheaton CEO and president Haytham Hodaly.
He adds this consistent recognition reflects the company's commitment to disciplined capital allocation and partnering with mine operators who prioritise responsible business practices.
The Best 50 is one of Canada's most established sustainability benchmarks, assessing more than 350 large companies using a transparent, data-driven methodology focused on the share and growth of revenues tied to sustainable activities.
Wheaton's inclusion reflects the quality of its portfolio, its strong organic growth profile, and its approach to partnering with leading operators, underpinned by a broader commitment to conducting business responsibly and sustainably.
Earlier this year, Wheaton was also recognised among Corporate Knights' 2026 global 100 most sustainable corporations.
TSX-listed Eldorado Gold has also been named to Corporate Knights' Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada, with CEO George Burns claiming it an honour to be recognised for the consistent efforts of people across its operations globally.
Eldorado is a gold and base metals producer with mining and exploration projects in Canada, Greece and Türkiye.
The Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada are each evaluated on a set of up to 25 environmental, social and governance indicators including board diversity, resource efficiency, financial management, sustainable revenue and sustainable investment.
