JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE-listed Wescoal on Friday announced that it expected its earnings per share (EPS) and headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the year ended March 31 to be higher than that of the prior year.

Full-year EPS were expected to be between 36c and 42c compared with 12.5c during the prior period, while HEPS were expected to increase to between 14c and 16c compared with 12.2c previously.

The company pointed out that the HEPS had been adjusted for after-tax profit on the sale of the Vlaklaagte prospecting right, in Mpumalanga, to miner Glencore.

Wescoal’s financial results for the year would be released on June 24.
