(Virtual Showroom) Werner Pumps is deepening its presence in Namibia as growing demand for reliable wastewater maintenance equipment produced in the southern African region continues to grow. 

The Municipality of Walvis Bay recently took delivery of two additional Werner Pumps units, bringing the municipality a step closer to replacing its ageing wastewater maintenance fleet with modern, locally manufactured equipment.

“Walvis Bay has committed to a long-term fleet replacement programme,” explains George Jolly, National Sales Manager at Werner Pumps. “They initially purchased a combination jetting and vacuum truck, followed by a jetting trailer. We've now handed over a dry combination unit and a dedicated vacuum truck, and they are looking to add additional units as required. It's rewarding to see a municipality investing strategically in modernising its wastewater maintenance capability.”

Jolly believes repeat orders reflect growing confidence in Werner Pumps' equipment and after-sales support. Previous deliveries have enabled Walvis Bay to strengthen sewer maintenance, unblock sewer lines more efficiently and improve pump station cleaning, while the latest additions further increase operational capacity.

Local support for long-term partnerships

Supporting this growth is the appointment of a local Namibian dealer, Aligned Enterprises, which will provide servicing, maintenance and parts support for Werner Pumps equipment in the country. Aligned Enterprises will be supporting maintenance contracts for the Walvis Bay units and has secured its first order for a Werner Pumps jetting trailer for another Namibian customer.

Jolly says that for municipalities operating essential service infrastructure, local technical support can be as important as the equipment itself. “We don't just want to sell equipment into Namibia. We want customers to know that there is local backup, local technical support and readily available parts. Having an established partner on the ground gives municipalities confidence that their equipment will remain operational for years to come. Aligned Enterprises a locally owned company that is involved in the supply of chemicals and other 

equipment solutions to municipalities, wastewater treatment works, mines, ports, and other industrial facilities. Their service technicians have already received training on servicing and maintaining our machines. We look forward to the growth that this partnership will offer both companies.”

The expanded dealer relationship also creates opportunities for Werner Pumps to introduce additional municipal solutions from its range to the Namibian market, including road sweepers and other specialist cleaning equipment.

A growing regional presence

Werner Pumps has supplied high-pressure jetting and vacuum equipment across Southern Africa for many years, with its equipment operating successfully in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and the DRC. 

The company's product range includes combination jetting and vacuum trucks, dedicated jetting units, water recycling systems and trailer-mounted solutions designed to meet the varying needs of municipalities, utilities and contractors.

Because the equipment is manufactured at its own facilities in South Africa, Werner Pumps is able to customise units for customer requirements while maintaining close control over quality, lead times and after-sales support.

The company's expansion in Namibia reflects a broader strategy of building lasting regional partnerships rather than simply exporting equipment.
