JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE-listed Village Main Reef on Friday announced the appointment of Clinton Halsey as CFO of the company with immediate effect, following the resignation of former CFO Marius Saaiman.

Halsey had previously been CFO of Village, having served in the role from June 2008 to June 2011, but stepped down following the acquisition by Village of the majority of Simmer & Jack Mines’ assets.

He was also a director of To The Point Growth Specialists and a nonexecutive director of the Manganese Metal Company.

“We welcome Halsey to the board and look forward to capitalising on his vast experience. We would like to thank Saaiman for his involvement in Village and look forward to the ongoing relationship between himself and Village through a consulting arrangement,” Village chairperson Bernard Swanepoel said.
