US vehicle fleet safety conglomerate Safe Fleet wants to use its booth at the quadrennial MINExpo International in Nevada, in the US, from September 26 to 28, to educate attendees and promote its brands and products as viable, cost-effective safety solutions for mining and construction applications.

The Missouri-based group describes itself as a leading global safety solutions provider for fleet vehicles.

Previously, the conglomerate mostly catered to the emergency and logistics markets, with its solutions intermittently used in industrial applications. The group, having recognised that its technology and products can serve a variety of industries, is aiming to place greater focus on the mining and construction markets and believes that MINExpo International is an apt platform to do so.

Safe Fleet explains that its products have been proven in the most demanding environments worldwide and combined with “unique”, technologically advanced designs, will offer safety and increased productivity to mining and construction applications.

The group targets markets with increasing demand for operator, passenger and pedestrian safety, offering products that provide increased functionality and integrated solutions for fleet vehicle manufacturers and operators.

Safe Fleet emergency and industrial marketing VP Michael Dupay explains that the group comprises multiple brands that provide solutions and technological advancements that address challenges regarding the safety and productivity of fleet vehicles in a variety of industries,

noting that the brands have been involved in numerous applications in the most demanding environments.

Dupay explains that fire-safety solutions company Elkhart Brass, a Safe Fleet brand, has been a proven leader in the fire suppression industry for more than a century. Safe Fleet has noted that there is a need for more novel fire-safety products in industries such as mining and construction and, as result, has introduced new and established products to these markets.

“At MINExpo, we will launch our compact, high-flow electric mining monitor, the Nitro HD. Also displayed will be a multivalve controller that automatically adjusts spray bar flows based on vehicle speeds. Visitors can stop by our booth in South Hall to see it, as well as the rest of our versatile product line, including hoseline nozzles, monitors, gauges, flowmeters and valves.”

Fire and rescue equipment manufacturer Fire Research Corporation (FRC) – another Safe Fleet brand – produces safety equipment, controls, instrumentation, displays and scene lighting designed to promote a safer and more efficient working environment. Dupay notes that FRC offers the brightest lighting solutions on the market, with high-intensity light-emitting-diode (LED) lighting solutions. FRC will unveil the new ultrabright Spectra HZ 28 000 lumen LED light with Class I, Division 2 to Class II, Division 2 approval from global independent safety science company UL. Also shown will be the inView series of vehicle video systems, which recording capabilities and increase safety and security by providing the apparatus driver with a 360° bird’s-eye view surrounding the vehicle.

Safe Fleet also offers proportioning system manufacturer FoamPro’s flow-based, microprocessor-controlled technology, which allows for concentrate to be delivered automatically, on demand, on a consistent basis and with pinpoint accuracy.

Dupay says the FoamPro brand is continually incorporating ideas and suggestions from numerous markets requiring water-additive applications to provide the most high-tech equipment available.

In addition, Safe Fleet’s ROM brand of roll-up doors and cargo tray slides offer strong and smooth-operating products, says Dupay, explaining that the product offering is designed for the harshest applications while keeping the operator closer to the vehicle and out of harm’s way.
