NYSE- and Aim-listed Guardian Metal Resources has announced it will become a constituent of the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) Alternative Investment Market (Aim) 50 Index, effective September 21.

For CEO Oliver Friesen this is an important milestone on the journey the company began when it listed on the Aim in May 2023, reflecting the momentum the company has built as it works to reshore mined tungsten production in Nevada, in the US.

Guardian is advancing two co-flagship tungsten projects called Pilot Mountain and Tempiute.

Pilot Mountain is considered one of the largest undeveloped tungsten deposits in the US.

The FTSE Aim 50 Index incorporates the largest 50 UK companies which have their primary listing on the Aim of the LSE.

Inclusion in the index attracts interest from institutional investors and index-tracking funds that require a formal benchmark. It raises a company's corporate standing and market credibility beyond standard micro-cap or speculative tiers. Additionally, the higher visibility from being a constituent of an index often translates into healthier trading volumes for shares.
