The relationship supports Molotel’s continued infrastructure rollout across five provinces, reinforcing support for a women-owned telecommunications business expanding digital connectivity, reinforcing its role as a fully licensed operator extending fibre, wireless and hybrid connectivity to underserved communities nationwide.

Tech Credit Fund (TCF), a private credit platform under Solcon Capital, has deployed a structured facility to Molotel (Pty) Ltd, a 100% women-owned, fully licensed South African Internet Service Provider holding both Individual Electronic Communications Service (I-ECS) and Individual Electronic Communications Network Service (I-ECNS) licences issued by ICASA, enabling the company to deploy, manage, and maintain telecommunications infrastructure nationwide.

“Molotel holds a rare combination - full ICASA licensing, a genuinely national footprint, and an operating model built around hybrid connectivity that’s well suited to the realities of underserved markets. This is precisely the kind of operationally sound, growth-ready business TCF exists to back.” - Pramod Venkatesh, CEO, Tech Credit Fund

As a 100% women-owned Internet Service Provider, Molotel delivers fibre, wireless, LTE, ADSL, hybrid connectivity, and enterprise-grade ICT solutions to residential, commercial, and public sector clients. The company’s mission-driven deployment model prioritises digital inclusion by connecting previously underserved areas to reliable, high-speed internet infrastructure.

Molotel operates across five provinces; Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape, the Eastern Cape, and Northwest, with regional offices in Sandton, Umhlanga, Century City, Port Elizabeth, and Molote City. TCF’s facility will support Molotel’s ongoing infrastructure expansion across this footprint, accelerating project delivery for both metropolitan and township communities and extending the company’s hybrid fibre-and-wireless model into new underserved areas.

“Access to growth-aligned partner like this changes the equation for an ISP at our stage. It allows us to move faster on infrastructure deployment, take on larger projects, and continue building the national footprint we’ve been working towards. We are grateful to TCF for backing operators who are genuinely driving digital inclusion.” - Siyabonga Sibiya, Molotel (Pty) Ltd
