NYSE- and JSE-listed Sibanye-Stillwater says it is making progress with implementing the World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs).

The company’s efforts to this end include developing policies, systems, processes and controls to ensure conformance with the principles.

“Conformance with the principles will confirm that the gold produced by Sibanye meets the highest standards of responsible mining and is in line with our commitment to embed environmental, social and governance excellence in all aspects of our business.

“We are on track to achieve full conformance to the RGMPs by September 2022,” Sibanye states.
