Project Description
Sembehun is a globally significant Tier 1 natural rutile deposit, which presents a commercially attractive development opportunity.

The project has estimated ore reserves of 173.7-million tonnes at 1.46% rutile, with an April 2024 definitive feasibility study (DFS) highlighting production of about 14.4-million tonnes a year, supporting an average of 175 000 t/y rutile production at steady state over a 14-year mine life.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
An after-tax present value, at an 8% discount rate, of $408-million and an internal rate of return of 27.8% has been estimated for the project. Payback is estimated at 55 months.

$310-million.
