Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, will at this year’s Electra Mining 2026, held from 7-11 September 2026 at the JHB Expo Centre, Nasrec, demonstrate how AI-enabled electrification, software-defined automation and connected industrial intelligence can assist mining companies in becoming more sustainable and resilient.

Exhibiting across two dedicated stands, Schneider Electric will showcase how its end-to-end EcoStruxure architecture connects power, automation, software and services to create a seamless customer experience across the entire mining lifecycle

“Our participation at Electra Mining reflects Schneider Electric's vision of Advancing Energy Tech by bringing together the technologies that are shaping the future of mining," says Donald Mokone, Head of End User Segment Sales, SSA for Schneider Electric.

“Today's mining operations require more than standalone technologies. They require connected, intelligent ecosystems that improve productivity, strengthen resilience and support sustainability goals while preparing operations for an increasingly digital future.”

Visitors to Schneider Electric’s exhibits will, amongst others, experience how mining companies can unlock greater value through AI-driven insights, digital twins and software-defined architectures.

Schneider Electric solutions on display include:

  • Industrial Automation – AI-enabled, software-defined automation that delivers greater flexibility, simplified system integration and future-ready operations.
  • Process Automation – Open, interoperable control solutions that modernise legacy infrastructure while improving operational visibility and efficiency.
  • Digital Energy – Intelligent power monitoring and energy management technologies that optimise electrical performance, improve power quality and enhance operational resilience.
  • Power Systems – Next-generation medium-voltage (MV) technologies that improve safety, reliability and sustainability across mining operations.  This will include the award-wining AirSeT range of SF6-free switchgear
  • Secure Power – Resilient power protection solutions that ensure business continuity for increasingly digital and data-driven mining environments.
  • AVEVA – Connected engineering, digital twins and industrial intelligence that transform operational data into actionable insights across the asset lifecycle.
  • Services - End‑to‑end demonstrations that highlight how integrated solutions enhance electrical distribution across segments like mining and WWW.
  • SE Advisory Services – Consulting and lifecycle services that help mining companies accelerate digital transformation and advance their sustainability ambitions.

A key theme across Schneider Electric's exhibition will be the practical application of AI within industrial environments. As opposed to than treating AI as standalone, Schneider Electric embeds it across the EcoStruxure ecosystem, turning operational data into insights that boost asset performance, enable predictive maintenance, optimise energy use, and drive faster, smarter decisions.

Visitors to Electra Mining Africa 2026 will have the opportunity to engage with Schneider Electric's industry specialists and explore these practical solutions that address today's mining challenges while preparing operations for tomorrow's opportunities.

Schneider Electric will exhibit inside Hall 4, and outside in the Green Zone at Stand P50.
