S4 Integration, recently concluded its highly successful Technology showcase Open Day events, hosting two impactful events in Pretoria on the 24th of July and at its main branch in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) on the 14th of August.

Designed to highlight the latest advancements in automation, robotics and manufacturing technologies, the dual events brought together over 200 industry delegates and featured more than 25 leading exhibitors across both regions. The platforms provided dynamic environments for technical demonstrations, high-level networking and collaborative discussions shaping the future of South African industry.

Exhibitors expressed enthusiastic approval for the caliber of attendees and the efficient coordination of the events. Jessica Cawood from DC Auto-Motion highlighted the strategic value and vibrant professional atmosphere fostered by S4 Integration.

“As an exhibitor, DC Auto-Motion was proud to be part of the event. The organisation, setup and overall atmosphere were excellent, and it was a great opportunity to connect with customers, industry professionals and fellow exhibitors,” stated Jessica Cawood.

“The event was extremely well organised from start to finish, and we found the setup process and logistics to be seamless. We also appreciated the effort that went into creating an environment that encouraged meaningful conversations and networking. From a business perspective, the event was extremely valuable for us. It gave us the opportunity to showcase our solutions, engage with existing customers and make new industry connections. The level of interest and engagement throughout the day made it a worthwhile event for our team.

A special thank you to the entire S4 Integration team for all the effort that went into making the day such a success. It was clear that a great deal of planning and commitment went into the event, and it certainly paid off. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of it and would be very happy to participate again next year.”

Echoing these sentiments, event attendee Bronwyn du Randt from PTSA praised the overall impact and inclusivity of the event, particularly noting S4 Integration’s forward-thinking initiative in bringing students into the industrial fold.

“The event was amazing and provided an interesting opportunity for people in the industry to network and showcase their latest technologies. It was also a thoughtful gesture by S4 Integration to not only include industry professionals, but to also see

students interacting with their future employers and gaining a deeper understanding of the industry overall. The entire event was excellent.”

Reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and skills development within the STEM disciplines, S4 Integration also invited seven top-performing mechanical and engineering students from Nelson Mandela University (NMU) to attend the Port Elizabeth event. The act aimed to provide deserving students with direct exposure to commercial industrial application and real-world technology innovation.

The experience offered invaluable hands-on insights for the students as they prepare to enter the engineering landscape.

“One of the reasons why I came here was to see companies showcase their work, and one of the companies that I found interesting was a laser company called REA. I am a mechanical engineering student and we are currently doing design and we will be using lasers, so I find it very interesting learning about different laser machines,” shared Okuhle Sosibo, a mechanical engineering student at Nelson Mandela University.

By bringing together established global automation partners, local businesses, and future industry talent, S4 Integration continues to solidify its role as a driving force behind technological progress and community development across South Africa.
