Leading steel products manufacturer Naledi Ringrollers has, for more than 50 years, been committed to high-quality standards and is making significant strides in the railway, general engineering, automotive and petrochemical industries. Through increased production capacity, Ringrollers has broadened its supply capability to local manufacturing.

Ringrollers’ engineering core focus is primarily as-rolled and fully machined rings. Manufacturing capability for these rings varies in size from half a meter to up to four meters in diameter, with the largest ring weighing up to 4t and only being available from Ringrollers. Typical lead times for products range from five to ten days for as-rolled rings, while fully machined rings have a lead time of four to six weeks. Heat treatment can be done overnight and has a turn around time of 24 hours to 48 hours.

When it comes to emergencies, Ringrollers can accommodate breakdown orders which can be delivered within a week depending on the request as part of its commitment to support customers on a continuous basis.

Ringrollers is now able to heat-treat between 10t to 20t in a single cycle offering various heat treatment processes in fully automated furnaces ensuring exact quality. These include quench and temper, stress relieving, normalising and annealing for various grades of steel.

Additionally, Ringrollers’ quenching facility uses polymer quenching, which is both environmentally friendly and imparts precise metallurgical results required for engineering applications.

Ringrollers also ensures stable, sustainable manufacturing through its alternative energy sources such as gas-fired furnaces and a solar installation that mitigates disruptions and the risk of loadshedding to customers.

Quality Assurance

When it comes to quality standards, Ringrollers is well recognised as a preferred supplier with various accreditations having achieved world class standards supplying components to the rail, general engineering, petrochemical and mining industries. Accreditation to ISO 9001 and quality standards such as IRIS ensures that Ringrollers delivers on its quality promise. This certification, among other factors, is integral to both customers and the company’s success.

“We go beyond a product and offer support to our customers in overcoming their manufacturing constraints, while enabling long-term sustainable relationships with our customers,” says Ringrollers Technical Sales Manager Malvin Hickers.

Sector Development

In the automotive sector, Ringrollers is focusing on product development in forging components and is keen on exploring potential supply opportunities. The company aims to become a key partner in the automotive supply chain.

For the foundry industry, Ringrollers offers heat treatment services for castings, while in the petrochemical sector, Ringrollers produces high-pressure flanges such as weld neck, raise face and slip-ons’ to specifications such ASME B16.5 in steel and stainless steel.

Ringrollers can supply the railway, mining, petrochemical and general engineering sectors with products and services to specification in a competitive and sustainable manner.

Ringrollers rises to the challenge in meeting customer needs supported by world class quality standards that has built its reputation as a strategic supply partner.
