TSX-listed Lundin Gold has produced 118 994 oz of gold in the second quarter, of which 79 208 oz were produced as concentrate and 39 786 oz were produced as doré.

Lundin owns and operates the Fruta del Norte gold mine, in Ecuador, which produced 139 433 oz of gold in the second quarter of last year.

Fruta del Norte is among the highest-grade operating gold mines in the world.

President and CEO Jamie Beck says the second quarter's production was planned to be the weakest quarter of the year owing to nine days of planned plant maintenance and work to improve access to higher-grade stopes.

The company remains on track to achieve full-year guidance of between 475 000 and 525 000 oz of gold.
