Midtier gold producer Pan African Resources expects to report a 141% to 151% year-on-year increase in earnings per share (EPS) and a 195% to 205% year-on-year increase in headline earnings per share (HEPS) when it publishes its financial results for the year ended June 30, on September 16.

In a trading statement published on September 10, the company notes that EPS, in dollar terms, are expected to be between 17.24c and 17.96c for the 2026 financial year, compared with the EPS of 7.16c reported for the 2025 financial year.

HEPS, also in dollar terms, are expected to be between 17.35c and 17.94c, compared with the HEPS of 5.89c reported for the 2025 financial year.

Pan African, which has operations in South Africa and Australia, attributes the increase in EPS and HEPS to a 54.8% increase in the average gold price received to $4 235/oz for the year under review, compared with a price of $2 735/oz for the 2025 financial year, as well as a 38.3% year-on-year increase in gold sold to 272 373 oz.

Pan African adds that it expects to achieve its all-in sustaining cost guidance of $1 870/oz for the financial year.

Meanwhile, the company has set its 2027 production guidance to between 280 000 oz and 302 000 oz of gold, compared with the about 275 000 oz of gold produced in the financial year under review.

It attributes the expected increase in output mainly to higher output from Tennant Mines, in Australia.
