As a leading provider of high-accuracy weighing equipment and calibration services, Australian company Control Systems Technology (CST’s) solutions are application-engineered to the unique conditions of each conveyor, backed by advanced technology and ongoing research and development.
With over 40 years of experience, CST sets the global benchmark for accuracy, reliability, repeatability and innovation.
Operating across Australia, Africa, Canada, the US, Europe and Chile, with more than 3 500 active installations worldwide, CST’s weighing systems are trusted across mining, ship loading, quarrying, agriculture, building materials and waste management.
On day three of the Electra Mining Africa event, held in Johannesburg from 7 to 11 September 2026, CST and Northwold Investments signed a major partnership deal.
CST has appointed Northwold Investments as its accredited partner and distributor for Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi.
Through this partnership, customers across the region will have access to local sales support, technical assistance and genuine CST original equipment manufacturer spare parts for CST’s range of belt weighing systems.
The signing took place at the Australian Pavilion hosted by Austmine in partnership with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and in collaboration with Afrilink.
Austmine international projects manager Sheldon Varcoe, Northwold Investments operations director Alinani Simumba, CST business development manager for Africa Gregory Armstrong and Northwold Investments director and managing partner Selina Simumba spoke to Engineering News & Mining Weekly at Electra Mining about the significance of the partnership.
