ASX-listed Challenger Gold has completed a A$85-million capital raise, following which Yohann Bouchard and Felipe Riquelme have been formally appointed as COO and CFO of the company, respectively.

This follows shortly after the company officially appointed Peter Marrone as nonexecutive chairperson late in July.

Bouchard will also work as interim CEO while the company finds a permanent replacement to succeed Kris Knauer, who resigned at the end of July. Knauer will remain as a consultant to the company for a further six months to ensure an orderly transition.

Challenger Gold recently poured first gold at the Hualilan project, in Argentina, while it is exploring the El Guayabo project, in Ecuador.
