Aura appoints acting CEO
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX- and Aim-listed Aura Energy has appointed Dr Will Goodall as acting CEO as the company moves from a uranium explorer to a uranium producer.
Aura in November of last year announced a board restructure, appointing Phil Mitchell as an independent nonexecutive chairperson, Warren Mundine as independent nonexecutive director, and Bryan Dixon as independent nonexecutive director.
Peter Reeve will transition from MD and CEO of Aura, to the CEO of the company’s gold subsidiary, Achaean Greenstone Gold. Reeve will drive a proposed spin-out and listing of Archaean in 2022.
Aura said on Thursday that Goodall has worked for Aura Energy for over ten years, in the role of principal metallurgist. He was responsible for delivering the Tiris uranium scoping and definitive feasibility studies, and the Häggån uranium scoping study.
Aura is hoping to bring its flagship Tiris project, in Mauritania, into production.
