Anthony Tse joins Critical Resources as adviser
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed lithium developer Critical Resources has appointed lithium expert Anthony Tse as a strategic adviser to the company’s board.
Tse is a former MD and CEO of former lithium producer Galaxy Resources, which owned the Mt Cattlin lithium mine, as well as development projects in Canada and Argentina. Tse oversaw Galaxy’s merger with Orocobre in 2021 to form global company Allkem, which has a market capitalisation of just under A$10-billion.
Additionally, Tse is also a director of NYSE-listed Li-Cycle Corp, which is a lithium battery recycling and resource recovery company in North America, as well as Li-Metal Corp, which is a lithium metal and anode technology developer. He is also a senior adviser to Sicona Battery Technologies, a developer of silicon-based materials for next-generation lithium battery anode technologies.
“As a board, we are delighted to have someone with Tse’s experience join our company. Tse’s tenure at Galaxy, which saw him oversee the growth of the company to a top-tier lithium mine operator, with vertically integrated chemical conversion facilities in China whilst also advancing the development of hard rock and brine projects in Canada and Argentina respectively, will be an invaluable knowledge source in our company’s growth phase,” said Critical Resources chairperson Robert Martin.
“Tse’s relationships with tier one customers in North America, Asia and Europe speaks volumes for the significant and invaluable insights that he will bring in helping to guide and support the company moving forward. We are excited to begin working with him as we seek out opportunities to leverage the potential of the Mavis Lake lithium project.”
