American Uranium on track to upgrade mineral resource, publish scoping study soon at Lo Herma
ASX-listed American Uranium has successfully completed a drilling programme designed to underpin the next resource update and scoping study at the Lo Herma project, in Wyoming.
The project currently has a resource of 9.45-million pounds of triuranium octoxide, which is expected to be updated in the third quarter.
American Uranium confirms the best intercept for the whole programme was 5.8 m of triuranium octoxide-equivalent grading 0.056%.
The drilling is anticipated to support conversion from inferred resources to indicated resources in Mine Units 1 and 2.
About 12 700 m was completed across 50 holes, 29 of which comprised infill drilling at Mine Unit 1, 16 of which comprised step-out holes to the south of Mine Unit 2, and five hydrogeologic test wells at Mine Unit 1.
The drill programme, together with an upcoming regional aquifer pump-test programme at Mine Unit 1, is designed to support Lo Herma's progression toward in-situ recovery (ISR) mine development.
CEO Bruce Lane says these final drilling results have achieved the key objectives of the programme, confirming continuity within Mine Unit 1 and extending mineralisation south of Mine Unit 2.
"The results are expected to support our upcoming mineral resource estimate (MRE) update and continued advancement of Lo Herma toward ISR development. With drilling now complete, our focus turns to delivering the updated MRE and scoping study, which are expected to further demonstrate Lo Herma's development potential as a Wyoming ISR uranium project."
