Mota-Engil

Mota-Engil is a Portuguese multinational construction and engineering group operating across infrastructure, transport, mining and environmental services. The company is headquartered in Porto, Portugal, and maintains operations in Europe, Africa and Latin America. Mota-Engil is listed on Euronext Lisbon and ranks among the largest construction companies in Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula. The group's African operations span more than a dozen countries, with particularly strong presence in Angola, Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia. Core activities include road and rail construction, port development, water and sanitation infrastructure, mining support services and public–private partnership concessions. In southern and central Africa, Mota-Engil has been involved in major transport corridor projects, including railway rehabilitation and port logistics infrastructure. The company also operates quarries and produces aggregates and asphalt for construction projects. Mota-Engil's mining services division provides contract mining, haulage and earthmoving to copper, cobalt and other mineral producers. The group employs tens of thousands of people across its markets and generates annual revenue in the billions of euros.
