Weir Minerals is a global engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture and servicing of equipment and solutions for the mining, minerals processing and aggregate industries. The company is a division of the Weir Group, a multinational engineering business headquartered in Scotland. Weir Minerals provides slurry handling equipment, including pumps, hydrocyclones, valves and wear-resistant linings, designed to withstand abrasive and corrosive operating conditions in mining and mineral extraction. The division operates manufacturing facilities, service centres and sales offices across six continents, supporting customers in sectors such as hard-rock mining, oil sands, dredging and industrial minerals. Its product portfolio includes centrifugal slurry pumps, dewatering equipment, comminution systems and tailings management solutions. Weir Minerals serves major mining houses and processing plants, offering aftermarket support, parts supply and on-site technical services. The company maintains a significant presence in Africa, with operations and service hubs in South Africa and other mining-intensive countries. Weir Minerals has invested in digital monitoring technologies and predictive maintenance platforms to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency. The division was formed through the consolidation of several acquired brands, including Warman, Cavex, Linatex and Multiflo, and continues to expand its footprint in emerging mining markets.
