Rosh Pinah Zinc

Rosh Pinah Zinc is a mining company that operates the Rosh Pinah Mine in Namibia. The company focuses on the extraction and production of zinc and lead concentrates from its operations in the southern Namibian mining district. Rosh Pinah Zinc is owned by Appian Capital Advisory, a private equity firm specialising in mining and metals investments. The company's flagship asset, the Rosh Pinah Mine, is one of Namibia's established base metal operations, situated in the ǁKaras Region near the border with South Africa. The mine has been in operation for several decades and represents a significant contributor to Namibia's mining sector. Rosh Pinah Zinc's operations involve underground mining methods to extract zinc-lead ore, which is then processed on site to produce marketable concentrates. The company's production contributes to global zinc and lead supply chains, with these base metals used in galvanising, battery production and various industrial applications. Under Appian's ownership, the operation has undergone investment aimed at extending mine life and optimising production efficiency. The company employs a workforce drawn largely from the local region and surrounding areas, supporting employment in a relatively remote part of Namibia.
