Company Announcement - Public access to quality healthcare, whether private or public, is a challenge for all stakeholders in the healthcare sector. The revamping of Lenmed’s Zamokuhle Hospital in Tembisa on Gauteng’s East Rand, from a small privately run hospital to a 110 bed facility will go a long way in the provision of quality hospital and medical care to the Tembisa community.

Murray and Dickson Construction Building Division commenced earthworks in October 2014 and Site Agent Adam Hunter said “Zamokuhle Hospital is a private hospital currently being expanded to a four-floor, 110 bed facility, occupying some 20,000 square meters. We have worked with Ocon Brick before on other projects and know their clay stock brick product well. They were contracted to supply 750,000 clay stock bricks for the hospital. Often on projects of this calibre, storage space for brick deliveries is limited, making it important that Ocon Brick worked jointly with us to avoid an overflow of stock at site, which they did. They have always taken cogniscence of site challenges in their service to us, making them a reliable partner to work with”.

“We are aware of storage challenges on site for some of the projects that we are involved with. We do try to ensure that our product is delivered to site when required by Site Agents, and that the amount of clay stock bricks can be stored not only optimally but securely as well. Our manufacturing capability is so large that we can fill orders for large quantities of clay stock bricks at relatively short notice. This fact greatly assists us in working closely with our customers and meeting their delivery requirements” said Mariana Lamont, Ocon Brick, Regional Sales Manager.
