Zaaiplaats has significant resources of 3.5-million ounces below the last infrastructure level.
The proposed project is expected to produce more than 200 000 oz/y and add 24 years’ life-of-mine at a yield of about 9 g/t. Harmony has said that there are significant benefits to pursuing this project such as leveraging existing infrastructure, increasing ounces and sustaining jobs.
