Wyloo Consolidated Investments, a unit of Wyloo Metals, has secured control of nickel miner Mincor Resources, with its shareholding in its takeover target having reached 51.24%.

The relevant interest is sufficient for Wyloo to control the composition of the board, Mincor said in a statement on Monday.

The company reiterated its recommendation to remaining shareholders to accept Wyloo’s A$1.40-a-share offer, which had been declared best and final.

The offer is scheduled to close on May 8.
