The International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE) announced in October that it is accepting registrations for the fortieth Annual Conference on Explosives and Blasting Technique, which will run from February 9 to 12, 2014, at the Colorado Convention Center, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Denver, US.

More than 1 600 blasters, manufacturers, government officials and suppliers will gather from all over the world to gain insight and form new business alliances. Participation is expected to be strong as it is the largest conference of its kind in the explosives industry.

The 2014 programme includes educational programmes featuring technical sessions, a poster session and workshops, com- bined with more than 130 exhibits on the latest technology. The Blasters weekend package, which will start on Saturday, February 8, includes the popular blasters training seminar and the ‘Blasters R Us’ video roundup.

At the special explosives security workshop, planned for the morning of February 12, regulators and industry professionals will take part in a discussion about significant security topics relevant to manufacturing, storing and transporting explosives.
Educational programmes, materials and merchandise will be displayed at the ISEE bookstore, featuring the eighteenth and latest edition of the best-selling ISEE Blasters Handbook, an explosives database on DVD, and the Level 1 ISEE certificate programme in Spanish and more.

Many of the Blasters library books will also be available, in addition to the fortieth Annual Conference programme, which is expected to feature more than 90 technical papers from leading industry experts.
