The market leader in engineered wear protection solutions and flux-cored welding wire technology, proudly South African Welding Alloys South Africa (WASA) has been servicing the sub-Saharan African market since 1976.

Part of Welding Alloys Group, which covers more than 150 countries through a network of 30 subsidiaries worldwide, WASA services the mining, cement, power, petrochemicals and steel industries with abrasion, impact and corrosion protection to reduce cost of ownership through extended component life, improved efficiencies and reduced downtime and maintenance costs.

WASA is well equipped to repair worn roller press grinding components and vertical grinding mill castings with automated roller press and table welding equipment. Grinding components are also refurbished in situ by highly skilled site teams. The Integra mill welding cored wires are specially designed for hardfacing and reprofiling grinding components in mills for raw, clinker, coal, blast furnace slag and other minerals. In addition to WASA’s range of flux-cored welding wires, it also offers turnkey fabrication and component cladding in a chromium-carbide overlay.

Crushing and milling applications include crushers, hammer mills, vertical mills, HP roller presses, rotating kilns, fans, classifiers, mill liners, cyclones, chutes, pipes and elbows.

The company is ISO 9001- and ISO 3834-3-accredited.
