West Africa Pumping Services will be using its third appearance at the West African Mining & Power Exhibition to showcase pumping equipment and spare parts, as well as details of their ongoing pump training courses.  WAMPEX takes place at Accra Convention Centre in Ghana from 28 to 30 May 2014.

“We plan to increase end user awareness of our product range and also all WAPS services available in country, including our extensive spare parts stockholding in Accra, and 48-hour response to urgent onsite maintenance requests,” says Jade King, Marketing Director at West Africa Pumping Services. “We particularly plan to expose further details ofour pump training courses offered to all pump users in Ghana.”

Training and Advice for Customers

WAPS has delivered pump training courses to end users in Ghana since 2011to further expand advice and education to end userson thecare and maintenance of their new pumps.

“We have been providing this service to several gold mines in Ghana which have recently purchased new Pioneer Dewatering Pumpsets,” adds King. “This training forms a critical part of our customer support which ensures that maintenance and operational teamsfully understand their pumps. This understanding then enables the end user to achieve the longest possible lifetimeout of their new equipment.”

For new customers, WAPS also offers an on-site ‘Basic Pump Training’ course over two or three days presented by one of their highly experienced pump engineers. These courses introduce pump users to the various pump types available, alongside their strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, these courses can be tailored to the customers’ requirements and expectations.

Looking to the future, WAPS is expanding its support network throughout all of West Africa, with a focus on customer and product supportthrough access to high quality brands such as Pioneer, Wilden, Netzsch,Jessberger and SAER.

Show Delivers Value

King says WAPS gained significant business after exhibiting at WAMPEX.  “In past years we met new prospects and created a high level of brand awareness for the company,”says King. “We also gained a lot of attention after introducing exciting new products to the Ghanaian market, such as theNetzsch Progressive Cavity Pump for high temperature strip solution applications.”

Throughout the three-day WAMPEX exhibition in May, WAPS will be showing informative pump maintenance videos. They will also showcase spare parts ranges, and several cut-away pump set displays, some of which will be dismantled and reassembled by its team for examination by show visitors.

At the previous WAMPEX in 2012,the company’s goal was to reinforce customer awareness of the Pioneer dewatering pump brand, with spare parts, service and on-site maintenance availability.“We certainly reached our goal, as our fleet of Pioneer pumpsets in the country increased substantially,” says King.
