The WA Mining Conference attracted preeminent experts across the fields of mining, automation, cybersecurity, digital transformation and artificial intelligence across the 2-day conference that took place 15-16 October at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The inaugural event attracted over 720 attendees with visitation from Alcoa, Anglo Gold Ashanti, BHP, Fortescue, KMPG, Mitsui Iron Ore Development, Monadelphous, Origin Energy, Oz Minerals,  Newmont, Rio Tinto, Roy Hill Holdings, South 32, Woodside and many more.

The plenary sessions were at capacity giving attendees access to speakers such as Dr Allan Bye Director Imvelo, Professor Goran Roos, Michelle Ash, Global Mining Standards and Guidelines and former CIO Barrick Gold who provided great insight into disruptive technologies and the role and impact this will have on mining now and into the future.
