Project Description
The Vivien deposit is a high-grade, quartz- vein-hosted lode deposit, in Western Australia. A feasibility study completed on the Vivien project envisages mining a total mining inventory of 451 000 t at 7.6 g/t of gold for 109 000 oz over 30 months, after eight months of underground development. Ore from the Vivien mine will be processed at the Checkers processing plant, at Ramelius’s Mt Magnet operation, from 2016.

Latest Developments
On the basis of the feasibility study, Ramelius has approved the remaining A$4.5-million payment to complete the acquisition of the Vivien mine from Agnew Gold Mining Company. The final payment will be made late in June.
Ramelius has also submitted a mining proposal and project management plan to the Department of Mines and Petroleum. Exploratory drilling will also start shortly, once an underground drill position can be established to exploit the potential for deeper resources.
