TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – New York-listed Uranium Energy on Friday announced a management shakeup and a change to its board as it positions itself to become a significant US uranium producer.

COO Harry Anthony (67) was appointed as the company’s senior adviser and would continue in an exclusive capacity to guide development of the Burke Hollow in-situ recovery project, located in Bee county, Texas. He would step down from the board.

VP for production Robert Underdown was promoted to VP for production and operations, and chief geologist and Texas exploration manager Andy Kurrus was appointed VP for resource development.

The company also recently added Ronald Dildine to serve as regulatory coordinator.

Uranium Energy in March announced an inferred resource estimate for Burke Hollow, outlining an inferred mineral resource, using a 0.02% cutoff for triuranium octoxide (U3O8), of three-million tons grading 0.047% U3O8 which contains an estimated 2.9-million pounds of the yellow powder. The project also hosts an exploration target of 1.8-million to 7.2-million pounds of total contained U3O8.
