Queensland junior True North is targeting the completion of a mining study for the Great Australia mine and final investment (FID) decision by early next month, says MD Marty Costello.

The company on Friday announced a well-supported two-tranche placement to raise A$15-million, providing significant balance sheet strength to drive the mine restart.

The placement comprises the issue of 125-million shares at A$0.12 each.

The Great Australia mine forms part of True North’s Cloncurry project, in Queensland.

True North has completed the refurbishment of the Great Australia complex plant and made its first sales of copper sulphate from processing stockpiles in July.
