Precious metals streaming and royalty company Triple Flag has achieved record revenue of $147-million in the first quarter of the year.

The company recorded record quarterly sales of 31 166 gold-equivalent ounces.

This has placed the company firmly on track to meet its full-year guidance of between 95 000 oz and 105 000 oz.

In particular, Triple Flag sold 18 249 oz of gold for $89-million of revenue and 11 567 oz of silver for $56-million of revenue, with the balance comprising copper and other sales.

CEO Sheldon Vanderkooy says the company’s diversified portfolio achieved key organic growth milestones during the reporting quarter, including a prefeasibility study for the Arthur project, in Nevada, a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for the Kemess project, in British Columbia, and an updated PEA for the Gunnison project, in Arizona.

The company has more than $1-billion of available liquidity.

Triple Flag will release its results for the first quarter on or about May 5.
