Rail, port and pipeline company Transnet says it is working with stakeholders to implement contingency plans, where necessary, to ensure business continuity in light of the Economic Freedom Fighters' planned protest action on March 20.
The plans will take into consideration operational demands and available capacity.
Transnet emphasises that its priority remains to ensure the safety of its operations and employees, as well as that of customers and stakeholders accessing Transnet’s facilities.
Transnet will continuously monitor the situation and adjust its contingency plans accordingly, the entity notes.
