“WAMPEX is the greatest place to showcase our best products!” exclaims an excited Emmanuel Sun-Kofi Opei, Executive Director of Sunbabsco. The Ghana-based company is the West African distributor of ITT Goulds Pumps, ranked the top pump and valves manufacturer for mining and industry in the world, a fact of which Sun-Kofi Opei is extremely proud.  Sunbabsco will be exhibiting ITT Goulds’ products at this year’s West African Mining and Power Exhibition from 28 - 30 May 2014 at Accra International Conference Centre, Ghana.

“ITT Goulds is the world’s leading manufacturer of pumps for a wide range of industrial markets, including chemical, mining, oil and gas, power generation and general services,” continues Sun-Kofi Opei. “We also embrace a comprehensive variety of centrifugal and volumetric pumps of different design of clean water up to several chemical compositions, as well as abrasive, hazardous and high temperature liquids”.  ITT Goulds is also the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standard on every process pump and it continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the integration of smart technologies.

Sunbabsco will be using WAMPEX to showcase its vast range of ITT Goulds fluid handling solutions. Its business units include:

  • Water and Wastewater – provides wastewater and dewatering pumps, secondary biologic treatment, filtration and disinfection products.
  • Industrial Process – offers a complete portfolio of pumps, valves and control systems for mining, oil and gas, chemical, water and wastewater, hydrocarbon processing, power generation and niche industrial applications.
  • Residential and Commercial Water – manufactures and markets pumps, systems and accessories for residential, municipal and commercial applications including water, wells, HVAC systems, pressure boosters, boiler controls and fire protection.

Passionate About Pumps

ITT Gould’s passion for pumps goes far beyond just manufacturing and innovation. The company initiated the annual World of Pumps Quiz which in 2012 attracted more than 15,000 participants from 151 countries. The quiz runs for 20 weeks, offering new sets of questions bi-weekly, and ends at midnight on 30 March 2014. The World of Pumps quiz is the kick-off activity in an annual programme leading to Pump Appreciation Day, initiated by ITT’s Goulds Pumps brand and celebrated on the second Tuesday in April. Pump Appreciation Day celebrates pumps as “the heart of industry” and features awards for outstanding organisations and individuals in the field, as well as activities to promote heart health.
