Project Description
The project involves the construction of an iron-ore concentrator, with a capacity of 11-million tons of run-of-mine ore a year, producing 2.5-million tons a year of iron-ore at full production.

Ferrox is also evaluating the production of 500 000 t/y to 800 000 t/y of ilmenite concentrate for the production of titanium dioxide.

The development may also include a smelting facility that is expected to produce 1.5-million tons a year of pig iron or steel, along with titanium and vanadium slag, within 48 to 60 months of regulatory approval.

Ferrox has confirmed 470-million tons of measured, indicated and inferred resources, compliant with and reporting to Canadian NI 43-101 standards. It has significant additional resources under its control, which are expected to take the total resource to between 1.5-billion to 2-billion tons.
