Thalanga busts copper records in Sept quarter

PERTH (miningweekly.com) - Base metals miner Red River Resources has reported record copper production in the three months to September from its Thalanga mine, in Queensland.

Red River on Wednesday reported that the Thalanga operation had delivered 4 411 t of copper, 7 539 t of zinc concentrate and 1 984 t of lead concentrate during the three months to September.

The Hillgrove mine, in New South Wales, produced 1 179 oz of gold in dore and concentrates during the same period., consisting of 667 oz in dore and 512 oz in concentrate.

The September quarter production compared with the 3 565 t of copper concentrate, 6 311 t of zinc concentrate and 1 350 t of lead concentrate produced at Thalanga during the June quarter, while the Hillgrove mine produced 1 521 oz of gold in dore and concentrates in the three months to June.
