Terex Washing Systems  (1.32 MB)

Hillhead Show, Buxton, Derbyshire, will provide the stage to showcase the latest addition to Terex Washing Systems product portfolio, the AggreScrub™ 150.  The impressive AggreScrub™ 150 is designed to operate both as a stand-alone unit as well as having the ability to seamlessly integrate with the Aggresand™. The AggreScrub™ 150 is designed to deal with stubborn clay bound material which cannot be removed by rinsing or screening alone, making this plant a much more efficient and effective solution.

Terex Washing Systems are showcasing the AggreScrub™ 150 alongside the Terex® Aggresand™ Range to include the 165 (up to 250tph) and the latest addition, the new larger Terex® Aggresand™ 206 (up to 400tph), what promises to be a great double bill.  Visit us on stand H6 to view these new innovative modular wash plants and a team of skilled engineers, applications and sales technicians will be on hand to provide expert advice and guidance with your specific requirements.

A gap in the market for such a washing evolution was identified following extensive research, part of which was conducted at the Terex Washing Systems product development forums. This involved TWS engineers and sales technicians working with the global distributor network to formulate the concept. Central to the development of the new plant was modular design, serviceability and functionality, making it quick and easy to set-up and easy to maintain.  The plant also includes a range of other innovative features and designs including the web frame chassis design which is easily assembled and is complimentary to the Aggresand™. The chassis supports the scrubbing hull, the 6’x2’ trash dewatering screen, the 12’x5’ two deck rinsing and sizing screen and has an integrated sump and pump. All walkways are fully galvanized which provide unprecedented levels of access to all areas of the plant.

The clay bound aggregate is delivered to a reception chute where the material is flushed with water. The reception chutes employs a dead box design which offers superior wear characteristics. The material is aggressively scrubbed in the hull by two AR shafts with a spiral of blades and paddles attached. The design of the shafts creates the effect of aggregate colliding with aggregate, “rock on rock”, is the action which liberates the clay conglomerates. The liberated clay material floats off and out through the troughs at the rear of the plant. This floating action also removes lights such as wood, plastic, roots, grass, etc.  The clay material and lights are subsequently dewatered on the 6’x2’ dewatering screen. The dewatered light and organic material is delivered directly to a skip or can be stockpiled by a conveyor. The dirty water recovered by the dewatering screen is captured in the rubber lined pan and piped to the integrated sump below the hull. The hull angle is variable between 9 and 11 degrees controlling the retention time and throughput levels.

TWS offer three choices of blades/paddles including 15mm AR 500, 30mm AR 500 and specifically designed and forged manganese blades. The twin electric motor and gearbox design is another benefit for customers, comprising 2 x 22Kw electric motor and gearbox arrangements which result in a very efficient direct drive system.  The 12’x5’ aggregate screen receives the scrubbed aggregate from the hull. The two deck screen not only sizes the aggregate but also rinses off the grit which may be attached to the aggregate after scrubbing.  The rinsed grit is captured and delivered to the integral sump tank. The two deck screen uses high quality polyurethane decks which size the aggregate into three stock piles. The screen employs a compact rolling chute assembly (patent pending) which again gives great levels of access and serviceability.

TWS have developed an advanced and cutting edge user-friendly control system for the Aggresand, which has proved a huge success. The same system has been adapted for the Aggrescrub will give operators levels of automation and control not previously available on wash plants. TWS has utilized advanced PLC technology and the control system will provide measurement and display of water pressure, pump pressures, motor currents etc.  Radio control of all main functions is available as an option as well as remote telemetry.  The remote telemetry enables all data to be sent to the plant owner remotely, through email or SMS alerts, such as alarm conditions, run times etc.

Visit Terex Washing Systems on stand H6 to see this new innovative washing solution as well as the Aggresand™ 165/206.
