The total resource estimate at Tarcoola is 973 000 t grading 3.12 g/t of gold.

The project is expected to produce an estimated 57 000 oz of gold with some silver credits over its three- to four-year life.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
Not stated.

Value
Preliminary estimates indicate initial capital expenditure of about A$17-million and an average all-in sustaining cost of A$1 020/oz of gold recovered.

These cost estimates assume new equipment is bought and that mining operations are undertaken according to a conventional schedule of rates contract.

Duration
Not stated.

Latest Developments
In July, WPG indicated that the feasibility study for the development of the Tarcoola gold project was close to being completed.

The study is considering mining production rates of between 250 000 t/y and 350 000 t/y, the mining of ore from a single large and a smaller satellite openpit and processing using a proven heap leach approach to the recovery of gold. It will also detail the required supporting on-site and off-site services and infrastructure, including employment, water, power, accommodation and communications.
