Project Description
A scoping study has confirmed the mining method, technical aspects and economic viability of a 1.5-million-tonne-a-year mining and processing operation using tailings co-disposal in waste dumps. The scoping study is based on the existing Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant mineral resource of 38.5-million tonnes grading 1.23 g/t gold and 8.8 g/t silver.
The study envisages the development of a combined opencut and underground mining operation delivering gold and silver production of 1.01-million ounces of gold equivalent over an initial 15-year life-of-mine.
