The Sishen lower-grade project Phase 2, or C Grade project, is envisaged to produce additional product from the lower-grade material available at the Sishen mine, following the proof of beneficiation technology and the revised definition of the larger optimised pit shell.
The project could potentially produce 4.3-million tons a year of fine ore.

Further work is required to classify the ore and to develop an appropriate beneficiation/processing technology to enable the integration of this potential product into the Sishen mine’s product suite.
