Project Description
This brownfield expansion project will produce high-grade iron-ore concentrate from the dense-medium separation plant’s tailings.
In the first phase of this expansion, about 1.1-million tons a year of -200 micron fraction product will be blended with the Sishen mine fines. By 2020, 2.9-million tons a year could be produced by including the old Sishen tailings facilities and treatment of the jig tailings. The project has the potential to create 120 new jobs.
