Company Announcement - Discerning property developers now only have the chance to develop high end residential complexes in the six last remaining sites released by Tongaat-Hulett Developments in its upmarket Izinga Estate on Umhlanga Ridge. ‘This presents astute investors with an exciting coastal development prospect in a region where opportunities are becoming increasingly limited,’ said Andile Mnguni, Development Executive at Tongaat Hulett Developments. ‘The single residential sites are now sold out in all phases of Izinga, demonstrating how attractive this estate is for middle to high income purchasers who want a secure home in a lock-up-and-go environment but who also seek more space and openness than a block of flats affords.’

‘There will not be any other new single residential sites available in Umhlanga Ridge until Tongaat Hulett releases its next phase in late 2016 to 2017, making the Izinga development sites we have available an even more desirable proposition,’ Mnguni said. The new developments will need to follow Izinga’s architectural style – a combination of russet tiled roofs and walls painted in muted, natural shades with organic stone and wooden elements. Tongaat Hulett Developments has prescribed a building time period of no more than four years on the sites with a limitation on the number of units that can be built in each PUD as per the Town Planning Scheme.
 ‘However, there is still much scope for innovative investors to put their own artistic stamp on their development and give rein to their individual flair and creativity,’ Mnguni said.
