Sherwood International returns to the West African Mining and Power Exhibition2014 to showcase its expertise in supply chain administration services. The company is known for its outsourced procurement solution thatincludes the sourcing of suppliers and administration of the supply transactions with vast experience in transport and logistics management forexport purposes. Sherwood creates reliability in the supply chain that benefits clients as a competitive advantage towards market growth and operational efficiency in Africa.

The 11th edition of WAMPEX takes place at the Accra Convention Centre in Ghana from 28 to 30 May 2014.

Constraints Survey

“We plan to usethe WAMPEX show to conduct a survey amongst trade visitors to ‘mine’ theirunderstanding of constraints in the inbound supply chainsto Ghana,”says Sherwood’s Marketing Co-ordinator, Venessa Smit.

“Companies face numerous obstacles including the lack of capacity and skills to manage inbound supply chains and often only have very basic planning systems in place,”comments Neels Botha, GM of Business Development at Sherwood International. “This makes the reliability of the supply chain extremely vulnerable and decisions are often based on gut-feel, with no science to support them.”

Established in 1976, Sherwood is the only company providing supply chain administration as an outsourced solution across all facets of the supply chain in the West African mining and power sectors.

“Our ability to create reliability in the supply chain is evident by the long standing agreements we have with our Blue Chip clients,”continues Smit. “We are currently busy with a three year EPCM contract in Electrification Distribution in Ghana and it is our plan to identify local business development partners to extend our footprint in Ghana. We are looking forward to making new business contacts and also engaging with our regular customers at WAMPEX.”
