Company Announcement - Demonstrating its commitment to better parts availability and efficient aftermarket care, construction equipment manufacturer Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., (known as Lingong), has opened a new depot in the Sudanese capital Khartoum. The facility was inaugurated at a local ceremony on May 14 and will be run in partnership with Lingong’s dealer Al-Sawaity Al-Rasheedi. Lingong continues to develop its aftermarket support for its SDLG line of equipment with the strategic opening of parts and service facilities close to its key markets. The company aims to increase machine uptime, maximize productivity and minimize service lead times for its range of robust and reliable equipment. The latest facility to come on-line, the Sudanese depot, is the fourth to open in recent months, following introduction of similar facilities in Bangalore, India, Singapore and Linyi, China.

The opening of the Khartoum facility was hosted by Rasidy Fuad Mohammed, managing director of the Al-Sawaity Al-Rasheedi branch in Khartoum, and guests included His Majesty Faisal H.Moalla, the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Sudan; and Dr.Mabrouk Mubarak, the elected head of the Khartoum District. In addition there were representatives from prominent contractors, utility providers and construction companies in attendance. His Majesty Faisal H.Moallatold guests that SDLG’s commitment to Sudan and its investment in the local economy had helped boost the economy. “SDLG has played an instrumental role in driving growth in the local economy, with its equipment helping with infrastructure development and the company’s growth creating job opportunities. I hope to see more reliable SDLG-branded equipment working in our community in the future,” he said.

“Opening this new depot, which will also serve as a showroom, is a significant event for Al-Sawaity Al-Rasheedi,” said Rasidy Fuad Mohammed. “It gives us a platform to showcase SDLG machinery and the resources to provide fast and efficient parts support to customers. It will undoubtedly help us grow our customer base in Khartoum and other nearby cities.”

Covering an area of 2,000 square meters, the SDLG-branded showroom reflects the growing popularity of its machines in Sudan since first being introduced into the market three years ago. Located on Madini Street, the facility has been painted in the brand’s distinctive colors and will show a range of machines. At present there are three wheel loaders on display, an LG936L, an LG958L and an LG946L. Of the three units on display, the LG936L is currently the most popular in Sudan. Featuring a six-cylinder Cummins engine and two-speed power shift transmission, the 4t-rated LG936L is helping customers in mining, quarrying, construction and agricultural applications. With a fully powered 3rd function hydraulics, the LG936L is a versatile loader that can switch easily and quickly between attachments, while the robust design means downtime is minimal. The air-conditioned cab offers comfort for the operator in all weather conditions and on any rough landscape.

Founded in 2012, Al-Sawaity Al-Rasheedi has three offices across Sudan, including a head office in Kassala, a branch in Khartoum and one in Atbara. With hundreds of SDLG machines sold so far, Al-Sawaity Al-Rasheedi is improving its offering to customers, building a new service facility in Atbara, in addition to opening the new location in Khartoum.

SDLG products are manufactured at its 1-million-square-meter facility in Linyi, Shandong, China. The company’s manufacturing and design processes are benchmarked against the world’s best to eliminate waste, improve efficiency and deliver good quality.
