Sanicorp The First Acquisition By Bidvest Steiner
Leading corporate hygiene service provider Bidvest Steiner has made its first ever acquisition with the merging of Sanicorp into its operations. Although a respected player within the South African corporate hygiene services industry, Sanicorp was nonetheless in need of the kind of systems modernisation and access to world leading expertise, products and services that only a Bidvest Group company could adequately provide. "Sanicorp clients will benefit tremendously by becoming our valued customers as they will immediately have access to the significant human capital and resources that exist throughout the Bidvest Group," said Alan Fainman, Managing Director of Bidvest Steiner.
Mr Fainman explained that Bidvest Steiner had acquired the entire customer base of Sanicorp, as well as its movable and immovable assets. "We'll be retiring the Sanicorp brand while welcoming the bulk of the company's employees into the Bidvest Steiner fold. All Sanicorp branches are currently being incorporated into our existing branches," added Mr Fainman.
Tremendous opportunities exist for providing former Sanicorp clients with a truly comprehensive service. For example, while both firms provide hygiene services, Sanicorp did not offer a pest control solution which is an extremely pressing need for most organisations concerned about the health of both their operations and employees. "There is fantastic scope to introduce Sanicorp clients to world class pest control products and services they had previously never been exposed to," said Mr Fainman. The Sanicorp acquisition is the first by South Africa's leading empowered corporate hygiene services provider in 56 years.
