HAZLETON PUMPS® will be exhibiting the patented HIPPO Solid Separation System® again at the CIM 2018 in Vancouver from 5 to 8 May 2018 and it will be the fifth CIM exhibition that HAZLETON PUMPS® will be participating in, using the opportunity to showcase the South African manufactured HIPPO Submersible Slurry Pump Range® at the CIM in Canada.  The positive response received from the previous CIM exhibitions is the reason for attending, once again.

The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) was founded in 1898 and it is the leading technical society of professionals in the Canadian Minerals, Metals, Materials and Energy Industries.  The members of this internationally respected, dynamic organization help to shape, lead and connect Canada’s mining industry, both within Canada and across the globe. The main CIM exhibition alternates annually between Vancouver and Montreal.

The mining industry is rapidly expanding in Canada and Vancouver has recently taken over from Toronto as the city where the most mining companies in the world are based.

It is the objective of Hazleton Pumps® to adequately demonstrate the capabilities of the HIPPO Submersible Slurry pump range® to pump liquids containing solids and led to the design and development of a model of the HIPPO Solid Separation System system®. The model specifically demonstrates one of the most important mining applications where liquid containing solids could be separated from the liquid.

A working model of the HIPPO Solid Separation System® was designed using a small HIPPO submersible slurry pump® installed in a tank by pumping the liquid containing solids to the cyclone where the solids are separated from the liquid and these separated solids are returned to the pump to be re-mixed and pumped thus repeating the process for demonstration purposes.

HAZLETON PUMPS®, the South African family owned and managed company, has participated at various CIM and PDAC exhibitions in Canada with great success and believes it is essential that the company maintain a high visibility which assists in the growth of sales in Canada and therefore attends all the major exhibitions related to mining industry wherever possible.
