Latest Developments
Kibo has started Phase 2, Stage 1 of the definitive mining feasibility study for its flagship RCPP.

This follows the confirmation by Minxcon Projects’ technical experts of the conclusion of the Phase 1, Stage 1 part of the process and the completion of the required planning and preparation, including the first scheduled work activities of the mining prefeasibility study.

Kibo will now increase the “intensity” of the discussions and negotiations as it seeks a joint-development partner.

“The company has secured several final proposals from potential partners. We hope to have a further detailed update for the market shortly,” says Kibo CEO Louis Coetzee.

The next stage of the project will include definitive feasibility studies on the coal mine and power plant, along with any associated environmental assessments and advanced financial modelling for the integrated RCPP.

Kibo will progress to secure power purchase and grid connection agreements, in addition to all related permits and rights with Tanzania Electric Supply and other government departments and agencies.

Key Contracts and Suppliers
Standard Bank (financial adviser).
