Reinhausen South Africa (Pty) Ltd [RZA] is a 100% subsidiary of the German based Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH [MR] and the sole agent for MR products in Sub Saharan, Africa. 

MR is the world-leading manufacturer of on-load tap-changers and off-circuit-tap-changers for power transformers.  The product range of MR comprises on-load tap-changers for rated through-currents from 200 A to 4500 A and for insulation to ground up to Um = 420 kV and off-circuit tap-changers for 300 A to 3000 A. 

A second production line covers accessorial equipment such as diverter switches, motor drive units, electronic (microprocessor-controlled) voltage regulating systems, supervisory equipment, oil filter units,OLTC-monitoring systems.  We supply matching replacement parts even for products that have been out of production for decades and premium transformer accessories (MESSKO). 

Based in Johannesburg, we have branches in: Cape Town, Kwazulu Natal, Mpumalanga, North West and the rest of Africa. Our new business acquisitions includes Expiotech (Pty)Ltd specialising in moisture management solutions, c.a.p.t. offering system solutions for voltage regulated distribution transformers and Cedaspe specialising in transformer accessories and is the only manufacturer whose Buchholz relays are Eskom approved.
